YTL Comms cleared by MACC in 1BestariNet probe


KUALA LUMPUR: YTL Power International Bhd's 60%-owned subsidiary, YTL Communications Sdn Bhd (YTL Comms), has been cleared of any wrongdoing by the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC).

The investigation was related to the 1BestariNet Internet project.

“We wish to announce that we have received confirmation from MACC that it has concluded its investigation and determined that no charges will be pursued against YTL Comms,” it said in a filing with Bursa Malaysia

On Oct 30, YTL Power clarified that YTL Comms was awarded the 1BestariNet tender as the most technically compliant and cost-effective among 18 bidders, highlighting its capabilities and merit.
