Alpha IVF opens first clinic in Jakarta


Alpha IVF said the new 6,887 sq ft clinic aims to increase patient growth from Indonesia to its Malaysian centres.

PETALING JAYA: Alpha IVF Group Bhd is expanding into Indonesia, its largest foreign market, by opening its first satellite clinic in an upmarket Jakarta district.

The fertility care specialist recently expanded to the Philippines and China as part of its growth strategy.

In a statement, Alpha IVF said the new 6,887 sq ft clinic aims to increase patient growth from Indonesia to its Malaysian centres by improving logistics and ensuring a smooth treatment experience.

Additionally, being in Jakarta would allow the group to directly market its IVF services and success rates. Operations are expected to begin in early 2025 after signing a tenancy agreement today.

It noted that contributions from Indonesian patients to the group’s Malaysia operations revenue increased from 21.5% in the financial year ended May 31, 2020 (FY20) to 42.4% in FY24.

“We see Indonesia as the world’s fastest-growing IVF market,” said group managing director Datuk Dr Colin Lee Soon Soo.
