Kancils 2024 to ‘Make it Happen for M’sia’

PETALING JAYA: The Association of Accredited Advertising Agents of Malaysia (4As) has announced the call for entries of the 2024 Kancil Awards, with the theme “Make it Happen for Malaysia”.

As Malaysia’s longest running advertising awards competition, the Kancil Awards continues in its journey towards getting Malaysia celebrated and recognised on the world stage.

Kancils 2024 co-organising chairperson Joyce Gan, partner and group client services director at Fishermen Integrated in a statement said: “We’re thrilled to broaden the horizons of our awards this year by welcoming not only creative agencies but also a diverse range of creative professionals, including audio houses, content creators and more.

“Our goal is to recognise and celebrate creativity in all its forms, showcasing the incredible talent that drives our industry forward.

“We were also tremendously delighted to see the winner of the Kancils 2023 Sick Six New Directors Challenge Fish Cheng for ‘Push-Pull’ go on to win New Director Lotus Gold at AdFest 2024 in Thailand, and also be shortlisted for the Young Director Awards 2024 in Cannes.”

Kancils 2024 is comprised of the main awards, ancilliary awards including the Young Kancils Challenge sponsored by Tealive, the Kancil Sick Six New Directors Challenge, the Student Kancils X Scooler Awards, and the one-day Kancil Creative Festival.

New additions to Kancils 2024 are Tik Tok Shop as the sponsor of the Commerce Kancils.

It shines the spotlight on work that applies innovation and creativity to commerce, payment solutions and transactional journeys; a new category Entertainment Kancils which highlights creativity from creators on social, streamers, gamers, longform or documentary filmmakers, musicians or bands, music studios, or entertainment publishers.

It will also have a new “CMO Can-Chills” forum for chief marketing officers to exchange ideas and inspire each other.
