Malaysian Genomics partners IMU University for graduate trainee programme


KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysian Genomics Resource Centre Bhd via its wholly-owned subsidiary MGRC Therapeutics Sdn Bhd is collaborating with IMU University on its graduate trainee programme for healthcare professionals.

In a statement, the genomics and biopharmaceutical specialist said the programme offers MU graduates from the Bachelor of Applied Science (Hons) in Medical Biotechnology and Bachelor of Science (Hons) in Biomedical Science an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the genomics and biopharmaceutical industry.

It said the participants will receive mentorship from industry experts, exposure to cutting-edge technologies, and involvement in groundbreaking research projects.

The group added that the programme also offers a smooth transition to the workforce with the possibility of full employment based on performance.

"By providing practical training and career opportunities, we are not only contributing to the personal and professional growth of these graduates but also reinforcing our commitment to sustainable and responsible business practices,” said Malaysian Genomics executive chairman Azri Azerai.

Said IMU University group managing director Professor Gerard George: "By partnering with a leading industry player like MGRC, we can ensure that our graduates are equipped with the practical skills and industry knowledge necessary to excel in the rapidly evolving fields of genomics and biopharmaceuticals.”
