SCIB secures RM24.59mil EPCC deal


KUALA LUMPUR: Sarawak Consolidated Industries Bhd’s (SCIB) wholly-owned subsidiary, SCIB Industrialised Building System Sdn Bhd (SIBS), has secured a RM24.59mil engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning (EPCC) subcontract from Belian Juta Sdn Bhd.

In a statement, the construction and EPCC specialist said the subcontract was for the proposed reconstruction works of a dilapidated school building at SK Kaingaran in Tambunan, Sabah.

Under the subcontract, SIBS will undertake reconstruction works, including the supply of materials, machinery, equipment, mechanical plants and labour required for the project.

The project is scheduled to commence on Aug 10, 2026, and is expected to be completed by Jan 22, 2029, providing earnings visibility over an execution period of about 29 months. It will be funded through internally generated funds and/or project progress billings.
