Bursa grants Barakah extension

KUALA LUMPUR: Bursa Malaysia has granted Barakah Offshore Petroleum Bhd a further six-month extension until Oct 31, 2024, to submit its regularisation plan to the relevant regulatory authorities for approval.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, Barakah said the extension is without prejudice to Bursa Malaysia’s right to proceed to suspend the trading of the securities of Barakah and to delist the company if it fails to submit its regularisation plan to the regulatory authorities on or before Oct 31, 2024.

It said Bursa Malaysia has the right to delist the company if it fails to obtain the approval from any of the regulatory authorities necessary for the implementation of its regularisation plan and fails to implement its regularisation plan within the timeframe or extended timeframe stipulated by any of the regulatory authorities. — Bernama
