GDB wins RM865.7mil logistics hub construction contract

KUALA LUMPUR: GDB Holdings Bhd has secured a RM865.7mil contract to construct a logistics hub in Seksyen 15, Shah Alam, Selangor.

The construction services firm said this contract represented GDB's second successful bid to construct a logistics hub.

GDB’s wholly-owned subsidiary Grand Dynamic Builders Sdn Bhd (GDBSB) accepted the letter of award from Strategic Sonata Sdn Bhd.

The 30-month contract is slated to commence in June 2024 and is targeted for completion in December 2026.

“Winning our second contract to build a Logistics Hub reinforces our position as a diverse construction company with expertise across a vast range of buildings,” group managing director Cheah Ham Cheia said in a statement.

“Also, this new win boosts our outstanding current order book to RM1.2bil, providing us with sustained work until 2026.”
