MI Technovation prepares for chip recovery

PENANG-based MI Technovation Bhd (MI Tech) was in the news recently after posting a four-fold increase in its profit for the first quarter ended March 31, 2024 (1Q24).

Higher customer demand was cited as the chief reason for the significant growth in earnings, prompting investors to jump into the stock, pushing it up by more than 30% following the announcement.
