Did Columbia Asia overpay for Ramsay?

Analysts say the valuation of the RSDH deal is pricey.

THE high valuation for the recent sale of Ramsay Sime Darby Health Care Sdn Bhd (RSDH) to Columbia Asia Healthcare Sdn Bhd begs the question of whether the latter might have overpaid for a private healthcare asset in its aim to secure the bid from other competitors.

This comes on the back of growing concerns over escalating medical inflation costs among private hospitals.
