Hextar Capital secures moneylender licence


KUALA LUMPUR: Hextar Capital Bhd has obtained a moneylender licence issued under the Moneylenders Act 1951 and the Moneylenders (Control and Licensing) Regulations 2003 from the Housing and Local Government.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, Hextar Capital said its wholly-owned subsidiary, Opcom Trading Sdn Bhd (OTSB), had on Dec 5, 2023 obtained the licence.

“The licence shall be valid for a period of two years effective from Dec 5, 2023 and it is renewable upon the renewal application is made with the Ministry.

“The licence allows OTSB to undertake business of money lending services,” Hextar Capital said.
