ALOR SETAR: The Northern Corridor Implementation Authority (NCIA), in collaboration with the Kedah state government, has facilitated the realisation of RM7.7bil in investments for the state in the first nine months of 2023.
NCIA, the development authority for the Northern Corridor Economic Region or NCER, said the investments were led by the manufacturing sector, followed by the tourism, logistics, agriculture and digital economy sectors.
“The state government would like to extend its appreciation to NCIA for their steadfast dedication to fostering economic growth and development in Kedah.
“Their commitment to advancing innovation, nurturing local talent and promoting sustainable investments has been pivotal in steering the state towards a prosperous future,” said Mentri Besar Datuk Seri Muhammad Sanusi Md Nor after chairing the state steering committee meeting here yesterday. — Bernama
