Guan Chong sets its sights on South America

PETALING JAYA: Guan Chong Bhd (GCB) is eyeing expansion into South American countries as part of its strategy to be geographically close to its suppliers and customers.

“Ecuador and Colombia are rich in cocoa beans. They are strategic locations to possibly set up grinding operations because we will be closer to the source countries,” GCB managing director and chief executive officer Brandon Tay Hoe Lian told StarBiz.
