BoA makes Gautam country head for M’sia


PETALING JAYA: Bank of America (BoA) has appointed Gautam Puntambekar as country head for Malaysia, effective Oct 8, and he will assume the role of chief executive officer of Bank of America Malaysia Bhd and the principal officer for Bank of America NA Labuan branch.

He replaces Raymond Yeoh, who retires after holding the roles for the past decade, the international bank said in a statement.

Gautam will join the board of directors of Merrill Lynch Malaysian Advisory Sdn Bhd, subject to regulatory approvals and governance processes. In this role, Gautam will head all of BoA’s businesses in Malaysia and be responsible for expanding client coverage.
