Malaysia's construction sector expands 8.1% in 2Q 2023 - DoSM


KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysia’s construction sector rose 8.1 per cent year-on-year in the value of work done in the second quarter of 2023 (2Q 2023) to record a total of RM32.4 billion, the Department of Statistics Malaysia (DoSM) said.

Chief statistician Datuk Seri Dr Mohd Uzir Mahidin said the increment was supported continuously by double-digit growth in civil engineering with 10.4 per cent growth in this quarter (1Q 2023: 17.2 per cent).
