Healthcare sector outlook stays positive despite challenges


Malaysia’s healthcare tourism revenue is expected to recover to pre-pandemic levels this year, said Malaysia Healthcare Travel Council.

PETALING JAYA: The outlook for the healthcare sector remains positive, given the inelastic demand, despite the private healthcare service providers having their own challenges, says RHB Research.

The growth factors include pick-up in international patient visits and the ageing society trend, which could potentially open up new avenues of growth such as wellness and geriatric services, it added.
