Kerjaya Prospek secures contracts worth a combined RM46.02mil


KUALA LUMPUR: Kerjaya Prospek Group Bhd and its subsidiary Kerjaya Prospek (M) Sdn Bhd have bagged two contracts worth a combined RM46.02mil from indirect subsidiaries of Eastern & Oriental Bhd.

In the first contract, the group said it had secured a RM24.71mil job from Eastern & Oriental Express Sdn Bhd for site clearance, earthworks and drainage works and other associate works for a proposed mixed development in Section U17, Shah Alam.

The contract is slated to commence on Oct 1, 2023, and to be completed within 17 months.

It said the contract is expected to provide an additional revenue stream over the next two years.

Meanwhile, Kerjaya Prospek has also been awarded a RM21.31mil contract from Persada Mentari Sdn Bhd for the infrastructure works and all associated works for the proposed development at Plot 16 (Plot A, B, C, D, E, F, G & L) for the proposed Seri Tanjung Pinang Phase 2A Development (STP 2) in Daerah Timur Laut, Pulau Pinang.

The contract begins on Sept 18, 2023, and is to be completed within 12 months, which the group said will provide an additional stream of revenue to the group for one year.

"As a group, we have gradually expanded our construction segment into infrastructure projects.These contract wins, therefore demonstrate our abilities to undertake and execute other types of jobs in addition to high-rise construction works, and at the same time creating an additional revenue stream over the next two years,” said Kerjaya Prospek CEO and executive director Tee Eng Tiong in a statement.

He added that the group's year-to-date outstanding order book stands at RM983.8mil, which represents 82% of its target win of RM1.2bil this year.
