Cahya Mata outlook remains intact following power cut at phosphate plant

KUALA LUMPUR: The termination of power supply to Cahya Mata Sarawak Bhd's Samalaju plant is expected to have a limited impact on the group's financials given that the subsidiary has yet to commence commercial operations, says MIDF Research.

The plant falls under the group's 80.18%-owned business unit, Cahya Mata Phosphates Industries Sdn Bhd, which has yet to obtain the necessary approvals and licences for it to begin selling.
