KUALA LUMPUR: Fajarbaru Builder Group Bhd has secured a contract from Australian Department of Defence to redevelop military facilities at the Royal Malaysian Air Force (RMAF) Base Butterworth, Penang, Malaysia.
In a statement, Fajarbaru said for the planning phase of the project, Fajarbaru's portion of the contract has a value of RM7.36mil.
This phase will commence on July 10 and is scheduled to be completed by Nov 13, 2023.
Fajarbaru said its wholly-owned subsidiary, Fajarbaru Builder Sdn Bhd (FBSB) together with Avionics Pty Ltd (APL) was awarded a head contract (International) two phase from Australian Department of Defence, to redevelop the Australian leased facilities and Malaysian facilities at Royal Malaysian Air Force (RMAF) Base Butterworth.

Fajarbaru said the scope of the project includes operational and recreational upgrades to airfield pavements, ground lighting infrastructure, drainage, rugby pitch, futsal court and associated infrastructure at the military base.
