Koon Poh Tat emerges as substantial shareholder in APB Resources

KUALA LUMPUR: APB Resources Bhd has announced that Datuk Koon Poh Tat has emerged as a substantial shareholder in the group with a direct 5.73 per cent stake following the acquisition of 6.35 million shares.

In a statement today, the fabricator of design engineering equipment said the shares were acquired on June 13, 2023, from the open market.

Koon is a Press Metal Aluminium Holdings Bhd co-founder and executive director. He is also PMB Technology Bhd executive director.

At the same time, the group also appointed Datuk Seri Abdul Rahim Jaafar as chairman, Liaw Wei Gian as executive director and Chin Choon Wei as executive director.

Abdul Rahim retired from the Royal Malaysian Police in 2021 as director of the Department of Internal Security and Public Order. He is a member of the Police Force Commission and Artroniq Bhd chairman.

Meanwhile, Liaw is Artoniq executive director and chief executive officer and Chin is Artoniq chief

financial officer.

APB’s share price closed at 2.92sen today, an increase of 29.78 per cent compared to yesterday’s 2.25sen. - Bernama
