KUALA LUMPUR: The ringgit continued to get a boost from overnight policy rate (OPR) hikes and the weakening US dollar amid heavy bets that the Federal Reserve appears to be reaching its terminal rate soon with a smaller rate rise.
At 6 pm, the local note rose to its two-week high of 4.4350/4400 versus the US dollar from Wednesday’s closing rate of 4.4525/4580.
