Sealink issued with ‘going concern’ audit opinion

PETALING JAYA: Shipbuilder Sealink International Bhd says its independent auditor Grant Thornton Malaysia PLT has issued an audit opinion related to the group’s ability “to continue as a going concern”.

The opinion stemmed primarily from Sealink’s incurrence of a net loss amounting to RM20.2mil for the financial year ended Dec 31, 2022, and as such, the total current liabilities of the group has exceeded its total current assets by RM49.9mil.
