Ringgit closes higher as demand for US$ weakens

KUALA LUMPUR: The ringgit appreciated against the US dollar at the close today amid weakening demand for the greenback, tracking the United States banking crisis.

At 6 pm, the local note was traded at 4.3990/4030 versus the US dollar compared with Monday’s closing rate of 4.4190/4240.
