KUALA LUMPUR: Digi.Com Bhd has appointed Tengku Datuk Seri Azmil Zahruddin Raja Abdul Aziz as chairman, succeeding Tan Sri Dr Halim Shafie.
Tengku Azmil, 52, will also serve the board as a non-independent non-executive director.
Prior to this appointment, he was the chief investment officer at Khazanah Nasional Bhd responsible for Khazanah’s entire investment portfolio.
He also served Khazanah in various senior positions such as deputy managing director and executive director of investments since 2011.
He is currently a board member of the Malaysian Accounting Standards Board.
Tengku Azmil holds a First-class degree in Economics from the University of Cambridge.
He is a chartered accountant and an associate member of the Malaysian Institute of Accountants (MIA) and the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW). He is also an associate of the Association of Corporate Treasurers (ACT).
