PETALING JAYA: Perusahaan Sadur Timah Malaysia
(Perstima) Bhd says unrealised exchange loss incurred of RM26.9mil saw it post a net loss of RM1mil for the second quarter ended Sept 30, 2022 (2Q22), as compared to a net profit of RM10.9mil it made for the same period a year ago.
In a filing with Bursa Malaysia yesterday, the tinplate supplier noted revenue for the period rose 63% year-on-year to RM465mil on higher prices and volumes sold.
