Boustead Plantations gets acting CEO


PETALING JAYA: Boustead Plantations Bhd (BPB) has appointed Fahmy Ismail as acting chief executive officer (CEO) effective yesterday, succeeding Zainal Abidin Shariff.

Zainal, 54, who had served the group since July 2021, resigned in pursuit of other interests.

Formerly BPB’s CEO from 2014 to 2018, Fahmy is also the group finance director of Boustead Holdings Bhd.

“Thus, the board believes his broad experience and knowledge in the industry will ensure a smooth leadership transition and business continuity,” said BPB in a statement. The counter closed at 71 sen yesterday.
