KUALA LUMPUR: Ranhill Utilities Bhd has recorded a net profit of RM58.39 million for the third quarter (3Q) ended March 31, 2026 on the back of RM612.53 million in revenue.

The sustainable environment and energy solutions provider said that the current quarter results ending March 31, 2026, cannot be directly compared with previous periods following its change in financial year end from December 31 to June 30.

"No comparative financial information is presented for the unaudited condensed consolidated statement of comprehensive income for the period ended Dec 31, 2025.

"Due to the change of financial year end from December 31 to June 30, the unaudited condensed consolidated statement of comprehensive income for the current quarter ended March 31, 2026, being the third quarter of the current financial year ending June 30, 2026 (FY2026), is not comparable with any comparative period previously presented," it said.

Meanwhile, the group posted profit after tax of RM72.54 million for 3Q ended March 31, 2026, an increase of 47.2 per cent compared with PAT of RM49.26 million in the preceding quarter ended Dec 31, 2025.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, Ranhill Utilities said revenue eased to RM612.53 million or 3.1 per cent from RM632.09 million in the preceding quarter ended Dec 31, 2025.

On prospects, the group's water segment anticipates growth to be supported by increasing consumption demand and strong economic outlook, along with catalytic projects such as the Johor-Singapore Special Economic Zone, as well as significant growth in data centre developments.

For the power segment, it is exploring various opportunities to reduce its carbon footprint and advance its energy transition initiatives.

Meanwhile, on consultancy and services segment, the group would to leverage its expertise in water resources, treatment, distribution, irrigation and non-revenue water solutions to capitalise on projects across Malaysia. - Bernama
