KUALA LUMPUR: The ringgit opened lower against the US dollar this morning amidst the higher-than-expected United States (US) Producer Price Index (PPI) data for September, which came in at 8.5 per cent versus 8.4 per cent forecast, said a dealer.
At 9 am, the local currency slid to 4.6850/6875 against the greenback from Wednesday’s close of 4.6820/6855.
