KUALA LUMPUR: Investors should remain cautious moving forward despite the better-than-expected performance of companies in the second quarter of the year, as the market is expected to stay defensive, says CGS-CIMB Research.

Following the recent quarterly earnings season, the research firm said companies posting results above its expectations rose to 33% while the ratio of underperformers fell to 24%.
