FIABCI Malaysia announces new office bearers

PETALING JAYA: There is new leadership in the Malaysian Chapter of the International Real Estate Federation (FIABCI).

This was announced after its AGM on Aug 20, where surveyor Firdaus Musa, the founder and group managing director of Firdaus and Associates, was elected the new president for the term 2022 to 2024. He succeeds Datuk Seri Koe Peng Kang.

Datuk Jennifer Low Moi Ing, managing director of Quill Group, is the new deputy president, while surveyor Teh Teik Bin was elected vice-president.

Meanwhile, Main Market-listed Golden Land Bhd is the new honorary treasurer, represented by its executive director Jessica Yap Fei Chien.

Following his election as the president, Firdaus undertook to propel FIABCI Malaysia to greater heights.

“We aim to ensure the relevance of the local chapter by engaging in constant dialogue with its principal members, government and other stakeholders,” Firdaus said.

He pointed out, in his presidential speech, that a few initiatives have been planned to further strengthen the federation, FIABCI Malaysia said in a statement yesterday.“He also told the members that FIABCI Malaysia has joined forces with The Star to bring forth the inaugural Malaysia Developers Award, a standalone award that recognises developers for their corporate achievements, sustainability and development projects.

“Firdaus also indicated his interest in continuing the corporate social responsibility efforts of the late Yeow Thit Sang, a past president of FIABCI Malaysia, to aid the Orang Asli community in obtaining education opportunities.”
