KUALA LUMPUR: The ringgit opened higher against the US dollar today following a weaker US dollar as markets welcomed news over the de-escalation of tensions in Eastern Europe, an analyst said.
At 9 am, the local currency appreciated to 4.1830/4.1860 versus the greenback from Tuesday's close of 4.1850/1870.
