In a statement, the central bank said the reserves position was sufficient to finance 7.5 months of retained imports and was 1.2 times the total short-term external debt.

PETALING JAYA: Bank Negara’s international reserves stood at US$116.1bil (RM485.86bil) as at Jan 31, 2022, slightly lower than the US$116.2bil (RM486.28bil) recorded as at the middle of the month.

In a statement, the central bank said the reserves position was sufficient to finance 7.5 months of retained imports and was 1.2 times the total short-term external debt.
