PETALING JAYA: The revival of domestic cement demand since mid-August and the subsequent sharp rise in average selling prices (ASPs) have given a boost to Malayan Cement Bhd’s (MCement) turnaround prospects.

RHB Research Institute expects the second quarter (Q2) ending Dec 31, 2021 to likely be a breakeven period for MCement, on a quarter-on-quarter (q-o-q) basis.
