Ringgit opens lower against greenback ahead of FOMC meeting


KUALA LUMPUR: The ringgit slipped against the US dollar at the opening today, with the greenback gaining further traction as the final Federal Open Market Committee (FOMC) meeting for the year looms near, an analyst said.

At 9 am, the local note fell to 4.2290/2330 against the greenback from 4.2275/2295 at Monday’s close.
