PETALING JAYA: Widad Group Bhd’s unit has entered into a collaborative agreement to form an unincorporated joint venture to perform and execute a contract worth B$9.4mil (RM29mil) in Brunei.

Widad told Bursa Malaysia that its wholly owned subsidiary Widad Builders Sdn Bhd signed the agreement with Syarikat Kejuruteraan Setia Abadi Sdn Bhd (SKSASB).

SKSASB was awarded the contract by the Brunei’s Defence Ministry in relation to the facilities management and maintenance of Royal Brunei Naval Base for a period of five years.

Widad said the agreement with SKSASB, an established Bruneian company, provides the group an opportunity to expand its business outside Malaysia.
