Malaysia’s QNET eyes share in French direct-selling market

QNET, the flagship business of the QI Group which has its operational headquarters in Malaysia, has done well by being represented in nearly 30 countries with offices in Asia, Europe, Africa and the Middle East.

KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysia’s e-commerce direct-selling conglomerate, QNET, is eyeing a share of the lucrative direct selling market in France worth €4.5bil to €4.6bil (RM22.15bil-RM22.64bil).

This follows the admission of QNET’S European business, QN Europe, into the French Direct Selling Association (FVD), which is also part of the European Direct Selling Association.

QN Europe general manager Jerome Hoerth said in a statement that membership would “’provide us with a deeper insight into our French market.”

This is another feather in the cap for a Malaysian company for having made a mark in the international market where conditions are tougher now, given the global Covid-19 pandemic.

QNET, the flagship business of the QI Group which has its operational headquarters in Malaysia, has done well by being represented in nearly 30 countries with offices in Asia, Europe, Africa and the Middle East.

Describing the membership as a milestone moment for its business, Hoerth said FVD is known to be the leading body in promoting regulatory standards and integrity in France’s direct-selling industry.

Despite the tough conditions brought on by the global pandemic, QN Europe would be well-positioned as FVD’s newest member to make a greater impact on the French market, he said.

France is among the top five direct-selling markets in Europe which has chalked up double-digit growth in recent years, with an estimated 67% of the nation shopping online.
