PETALING JAYA: HCK Capital Group Bhd
has awarded a RM220mil main construction contract for its project e.Sentral SmartCity to Alphazen Contract Sdn Bhd, clearing the way for construction to begin on the first phase of the RM1.8bil gross development value (GDV) project in Shah Alam, Selangor.
In a statement, HCK Capital said Alphazen is wholly-owned by Alphazen Group Sdn Bhd, which is in turn owned by Chong Mong Tet (35%), Yong Kok Shiang (35%), Yeong Yip Poh (15%) and Chong Ernest (15%).
“Alphazen has completed more than 13,500 units across residential, commercial and hospitality developments, including Residensi Bintang @ Bukit Jalil and Mercu Jalil @ PPAM Bukit Jalil.
“With Perbadanan Kemajuan Negeri Selangor as a 30% shareholder, e.Sentral is HCK Capital’s first smart city and the first project built on the group’s “Tech and Trees” concept.
The 10-acre mixed-use development in Damansara West combines smart-living technology with direct access to nature, the company said.
“The contract is not expected to have any significant effect on the group’s earnings for the current financial year ending Dec 31, 2026, however, it is expected to contribute positively to its future earnings.”
