UWC group CEO Datuk Ng Chai Eng (pic) remained confident of the group’s risk diversification strategy and business expansion to deliver front-end semiconductor equipment especially wafer fabrication equipment and 5G test equipment.

PETALING JAYA: Integrated engineering support services provider UWC Bhd registered a 93.5% increase in net profit to RM21.7mil for the first-quarter ended Oct 31, compared with the same quarter last year.

UWC said the profit growth was on the back of stronger demand from its global semiconductor and life science clients, as well as improved production efficiencies and effective cost management initiatives.
