Petronas to pay govt RM34bil dividend in 2020


Petronas, which paid RM54bil in dividends in 2019, originally committed to pay US$24bil this year, and said that any additional funding would depend on its affordability.

KUALA LUMPUR: Petroliam Nasional Bhd will pay the government a dividend of RM34bil (US$8.2bil) in 2020, despite posting losses in the second quarter, the country's economic minister said on Monday.

Petronas, which paid RM54bil in dividends in 2019, originally committed to pay US$24bil this year, and said that any additional funding would depend on its affordability.
