Pensonic reports fire incident

PETALING JAYA: Pensonic Holdings Bhd informed that a fire incident had occurred at its office-cum-service centre belonging to its subsidiary, Pensonic Sales & Service Sdn Bhd in Petaling Jaya on Wednesday.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, the company said its sales operations is able to continue as usual but after sales service will be interrupted for the time being as the service centre and spare parts storage are affected.

“At the time of this announcement, the board of directors is unable to ascertain the cause of the fire or estimate the full impact and consequences of the incident at the PJ office. The incident did not cause any harm to persons or result in any known uncontrolled emissions, ” it said.

The company, which is engaged in the manufacturing of electrical home appliances, added that it is working closely with the insurance adjuster on this matter.
