KUALA LUMPUR: The local stock market got off to a firm start on Tuesday, in line with key Asian markets on hopes US government stimulus efforts to prop up the economy.
At 9.05am, the KLCI was up 4.94 points or 0.31% to 1,596.42. Turnover was 850.26 million shares valued at RM329.30mil. There were 343 gainers, 154 losers and 304 counters unchanged.
