PETALING JAYA: The real estate investment trust (REIT) sector is expected to see significant growth going forward, driven by the increasing demand for e-commerce and warehouse space by logistics players.

Maybank Kim Eng, in a report, said e-commerce growth would be driven by a competitive retail landscape, a well-connected middle class and technological innovations, which would require servicing by an increasingly larger and sophisticated logistics network.
