Bursa, Asian markets slide as Covid-19 spreads

KUALA LUMPUR: Bursa Malaysia and key Asian markets slid in early Monday trade, the start of March, as investors’ sentiment was rattled by the spread of the Covid-19 coronavirus.

At 9.13am, the FBM KLCI was down 17.42 points or 1.17% to 1,465.22. Turnover was 574.71 million shares valued at RM351.46mil. There were 121 gainers, 426 losers and 153 counters unchanged.
