MMS Ventures sees lower Q1 sales due to Covid-19 effect

GEORGE TOWN: MMS Ventures Bhd expects its sales of semiconductor test equipment to decline by over 10% in the first quarter ending March 31 due to the coronavirus (Covid-19) outbreak, compared to the same period of 2019.

According to its group managing director T.K. Sia, customers in Malaysia and China were now delaying orders because they were not certain as to whether they needed to invest in new test equipment as there was now a delay in the production and shipment of electronic components manufactured in China.
