PETALING JAYA: MAH SING GROUP BHD is unveiling its first community-friendly recreational park -- Summit Park at Southville City, KL South, this March.
The 9.62-acre Summit Park acts as a “green sanctuary” and is deemed to be one of the pioneer public park playgrounds in Malaysia which complies with international safety standards certified by the Playground Safety Association of Malaysia.
In a press release yesterday, Mah Sing founder and group managing director Tan Sri Leong Hoy Kum said the completion of Summit Park is timely, catering to the growing population within the vicinity as it straddles across matured neighbourhoods such as Bangi, Kajang, Nilai, Seremban, Semenyih, Dengkil, and Sepang.
“The Summit Park, which is scheduled for its official unveiling in March 2020 is not only limited to residents of our Southville City alone but is open to the public to enjoy as well. “This reinforces our renewed commitment to continue giving back to the surrounding community.
“I am delighted that Summit Park is recognised by the Majlis Perbandaran Sepang as a reference point for one of the public parks in Malaysia, which complies with the international safety standards, promoting children’s rights to play in a safe environment as it serves as an important role in children’s healthy development, ” he said, adding that the safety compliance will increase public awareness in terms of children’s playground safety and design.
The playground area, considered as one of the largest public park playground in the state, spans over 800 sq m.
The Summit Park is also equipped with covered and open picnic areas scattered throughout the park and furnished to offer an al-fresco dining experience.
Apart from that, there are meditation areas as well as over 20 different outdoor gyms and par-course facilities.
Subsequently, “Summit View Point” – dubbed as the highest accessible area of the park, will offer a panoramic view overlooking the whole park.
All spaces are linked with an approximately 1.2km looped pedestrian circulation for strolling, jogging and cycling activities throughout the park.
Southville City, which sits on 428 acres of land, is Mah Sing’s largest township development in Klang Valley with an estimated gross development value of RM11bil and is expected to be dcompleted over the next 12 to 15 years.
Southville City is actively undergoing various developments to cater to the estimated population of around 69,000 people upon its completion.
Among the recent developments include the completion of Avens Residence, Savanna Executive Suites, Savanna Boulevard Shops, as well as the upcoming opening of MERCEARIA grocer.
