KUALA LUMPUR: RAM Holdings Bhd announced the appointment of Kevin Lim as its group chief financial officer, effective on Jan 1.
The rating agency said Lim will oversee the RAM Group’s accounts and finance functions, including the management of its investment portfolio.
He is also spearheading RAM’s digitalisation initiative to develop and execute the Group’s strategic digital transformation.
Prior to his new appointment, Lim was the general manager (strategic initiatives) and head of corporate ratings at RAM Rating Services Bhd.
RAM said Lim has considerable technical expertise in evaluating the credit standing of companies in diverse industries encompassing (but not limited to) manufacturing, retail, F&B, transportation, oil and gas, plantation, property and construction.
He had also been instrumental in developing and implementing various key credit rating methodologies.
Lim also represents RAM as one of the 12 members of the MASB Interpretation Committee.
This committee is responsible for the review of IFRIC (International Financial Reporting Interpretations Committee) for consistency with the International Financial Reporting Standards and the requirements of the current laws and regulations.
In addition, he has two years’ auditing experience with Ernst & Young.
Professionally, he is a chartered accountant and certified financial planner.
