GDex Q1 profit slides 26%

PETALING JAYA: Courier service company GD Express Carrier Bhd (GDex) says stiff pricing competition for parcels and deliveries has resulted in a lower profit margin for its first quarter ended Sept 30.

Net profit fell 26% to RM4.76mil compared with RM6.47mil a year ago. Revenue increased 11% to RM83mil on increased demand in both business-to-business (B2B) and business-to-consumer (B2C) segments.
