In a filing with Bursa Malaysia yesterday, Sasbadi said its contract worth RM746,460 was for the supply of Year 4 arts education textbooks at Chinese national primary schools throughout Malaysia for the duration of March 5, 2019 to March 4, 2022.
The publishing company is expected to deliver the first tranche of the contract worth RM677,650 in the first and second quarters of the financial year ending Aug 31, 2020 (FY20) and onwards. As such, Sasbadi noted that the contract would not contribute to the earnings of the group for FY19. On the other hand, Pelangi’s contract worth RM1.05mil was for the supply of Year 4 Maths textbooks at Chinese national primary schools for a period of three years.
“The contract is expected to contribute positively to the earnings and net assets of the company for FY19 ending Sept 30 onwards during the duration of the contract,” the company said.
