AEON Co earnings up on higher retail sales

KUALA LUMPUR: Aeon Co (M) Bhd's net profit rose slightly to RM27.94mil in the first quarter ended March 31, 2018, from RM26.2mil recorded in the same period last year while revenue increased to RM1.11bil. 

The company said its retail business revenue registered RM943.9mil, which was higher by 3.4%, year-on-year, mainly due to the opening of a new store in September 2017.
