MRT Corp: All elevated station contracts for SSP Line awarded

KUALA LUMPUR: Mass Rapid Transit Corp Bhd (MRT Corp) has awarded all work packages for the construction of elevated stations for the MRT Sungai Buloh-Serdang-Putrajaya (SSP) Line.

In a statement, MRT Corp said the six elevated station work packages, with a total value of RM1.23bil, were given out during one stop procurement committee (OSPC) meetings in September and October which were chaired by Second Finance Minister Datuk  Seri Johaei Abdul Ghani.

All station work packages are nominated subcontracts of their corresponding viaduct packages.

Work package S204 for the construction of elevated stations at Kuchai Lama and Taman Naga Emas, worth RM199.5mil, was awarded to WCT Bhd.

Apex Communications Sdn Bhd beat two other companies in the Bumiputra Category to win work package S205 valued at RM243.34mil to build elevated stations at Sungai Besi and Serdang Raya North.

Ahmad Zaki Resources Bhd’s subsidiary Ahmad Zaki Sdn Bhd clinched package S206, worth RM288.47mil, to construct elevated stations at Serdang Raya South, Seri Kembangan and University Putra Malaysia.

Work package S208 to build elevated stations at Equine Park and Taman Putra Permai, with a contract sum of RM219.7mil, went to SN Akmida Sdn Bhd, which beat three other competitors in the Bumiputra Category.

Acre Works Sdn Bhd emerged the winner among the six companies under the Bumiputra Category tendering for work package S209 valued at RM137.9mil to build elevated stations at 16 Sierra and Cyberjaya North.

Malaysian Resources Corp Bhd secured work package S210, worth RM145.8mil, to construct elevated stations at Cyberjaya City Centre and Putrajaya Sentral. The tender was in the Bumiputra Category, and five companies had submitted tenders.

There is no elevated station work package S207 as the station under the corresponding viaduct work package V207 is a provisional station that would only be built in the future.

As for work packages S201, S202 and S203, they were awarded at the end of last year and earlier this year.
