Malaysian palm oil/Vegoils: Market factors to watch on Friday Dec 18

Banks and plantations were among the top losers.

KUALA LUMPUR: The following factors are likely to influence Malaysian palm oil futures and other vegetable oil markets on Friday Dec 18 2015.

FUNDAMENTALS
* Malaysian palm oil fell on Thursday, dragged down by falling crude and declines in competing
vegetable oils as well as concerns over slowing exports.
* U.S. soybean futures rebounded from a 3-1/2-week low on Thursday and closed higher for the
first time in three sessions on short covering sparked by concerns that dry weather in Brazil
may clip soy production.
* Oil prices fell more than 1 percent on Thursday, with global benchmark Brent settling not far
from 2004 lows, after fresh supply builds at the delivery point for U.S. crude futures added to
worries about a global glut.

MARKET NEWS
* U.S. stocks led a decline in most equity markets around the globe on Thursday, a day after the
Federal Reserve's first interest rate hike in nearly a decade, as continued pressure on oil
weighed on the energy sector.
